• 1980 – 1984: study at the law school of the University of Vienna
• 1986 – 1989: candidate for a notary public in the law office of Dr. Theodor Hofmann in Vienna 
• November 1988/March 1989: exams for notary public’s practice and bar passed (with honors)
• 1989 – 1995: associate in leading law firms in Vienna (Weiss-Tessbach, Schönherr, Eiselsberg)
• 1993 – 1994: postgraduate program at New York University (corporation law)
• Since 1996: own law practice (in cooperation with Dr. Wolfgang Ulm, Attorney at law)
